This is the easiest setup to use because it puts all your hero spells onto QWER, which brings everything closer to your left hand. Originally WC3 CLASSIC used a file called customkeys.txt which configures your hotkeys to the QWER setup.

When Reforged fully release, it will (hopefully/probably) have a fully customizable UI, meaning you will be able to go into the options and select each icon, move them around, and set each letter individually. Grid = ZXCV for spells, everything else on QWEASDĬustom = customkeys.txt (your WC3 install folder)Īll of this is explained very clearly in that guide I linked you to in my first reply, the one that says “Improved Custom Hotkeys” just check it out, theres a picture that says “Example Image” just to see what QWER is all about. You can choose between Default, Grid, or Customĭefault = Alphabetized, so like Build = B, Peon = P, etc. Reforged BETA currently has several HOTKEY options in the game options menu. I don’t know if Reforged will ever have that option, maybe it will, but personally I don’t think that it will have WASD because that was never how this game was designed.

You will have to add a file to your Warcraft 3 game called CustomKeys.txt under the CustomKeyBindings file. The camera is set to the Arrow keys but WASD has never been an option. Click on the input option, and at the bottom, you should be able to see the choice to preset your keybindings. To do tbis, open up the main menu screen, click on the button with three lines in it on the lower right to open up the menu. You can also modify these hotkeys with your preferred choices. Press twice to center on themĪdd or remove a unit from the current selection Send an order to currently active subgroupĬenter on the selected unit (portrait at the bottom) Override formation movement during an action Here are all the game commands available to you.
