However, The Prisoner broke out of his icey dungeons and melted the snow.Īfter this, The Prisoner, now in control of The Volcano, caused it to erupt. The king was not pleased by this, and wanted to keep the whole map covered in snow.īecause of this, The Ice King used the Cube's power to stirr up a blizzard which covered the whole island and infested it with ice monsters.
He was originally asleep in the frozen chambers of the ice castle, but was woken up by Polar Peak's ice thawing. The Ice King is the ruler of Polar Peak, which first appeared in Season 7 after the island's collision with the iceberg.
